The ESL Pro league Season 8 LAN Finals will see the top teams in Counter-Strike in attendance. The teams will compete for a prize pool of $750,000 one of the largest amounts in Counter-Strike outside of the Majors. Every year the ESL Pro League LAN Finals is a way of ending the current season. They are usually held twice in a year and they provide a good understanding of the professional scene at the top level. This tournament will see the top teams such as Astralis, MiBr, Na’Vi, Team Liquid in participation. Their performance at this tournament will be a good prelude to the upcoming months. With the ESL One Katowice Major only a few months away, this tournament will be great preparation for many of the current teams.

The tournament is still in its Group stage and the teams will play their Best of One Opening matches on Day 1. This will be followed by Best of Three series of matches until three teams from each group are selected for the playoffs.

Mousesports vs Natus Vincere

Mousesports

Mousesports Roster:

  • Oskar
  • Ropz
  • Sunny
  • Styko
  • ChrisJ

The Mousesports team has a lot of potentials when it comes to their performance on the world stage. After all, this team has already proven itself on the big stage on multiple counts. However, that being said, their foray into Snax and then back to Styko has definitely broken the team chemistry. The lack of synergy on this roster with the current roster is clearly evident. For the management, this would be a nightmare since they basically spoiled a proper team and then made a team that is now struggling on the international stage.

Led by ChrisJ, this team has the freedom to develop their gameplay in any way that they like. ChrisJ has moulded himself into a team player. He is able to take on multiple roles for the team and that is why the team gets the freedom to cultivate their skills and positioning. With ChrisJ, Mousesports has seen him take on multiple roles such as the AWPer, a support player and also the entry fragger for the team.

However, it is the likes of Sunny, Styko and Ropz who truly control the pace of the team. They also have Oskar who has been exceptionally consistent in his performance so far. The team’s performance through the tournament has seen them make some extraordinary plays. Sunny is looking strong once more making entry frags seem extremely easy. The Mousepsorts roster needs to start expanding their map pool, but more importantly, start hitting their shots in order to start their winning ways once more.

Natus Vincere

Natus Vincere Roster :

  • Edward
  • Flamie
  • S1mple
  • Electronic
  • Zeus

The Natus Vincere roster was the second best team in the world for quite some time last year. The team’s performance has not managed to keep up with this and they have slipped in their rankings. The performance of the team over the last few tournaments has definitely not been anywhere close to their former selves.

They have two of the world’s best players on an individual level. Electronic and S1mple are the two pillars around which Na’Vi can force buy repeatedly and win this force buys. However, the force-buys often can backfire on the team as they are left with a poor economy with nothing left for the next round. But Na’Vi always manages to win their force-buys and this makes them a really dangerous team overall.

S1mple is the person that has been quite consistent on Na’Vi for a long time. His ability to get frags off one bullet is simply too good. He can single-handedly turn the outcomes of certain rounds and this makes him one of the deadliest players when it comes to the game. At present, we do think that Na’Vi is a strong team. At the same time, it will take a bit of time for the team to regain its form. With S1mple and Electronic on the roster it should not be a big problem and Na’Vi will make a comeback very soon.

Prediction :

Na’Vi’s is the better team currently when it comes to the two teams. Their performance has seen a significant boost in recent months with massive amounts of firepower. The team’s performance has only improved with time, although their last few tournaments have not been the best for the CIS team. They can potentially make an impact in the tournament and they do have the capacity to win the tournament. However, their current form is not a world class performance and we don’t expect them to win the tournament. However, when it comes to their match against Mousesports, it is important to take into account the fact that Mousepsorts is not as strong as they were once. The current form of Mousesports is actually quite poro and we expect Natus Vincere to easily win the series and survive.

We recommend a bet on Natus Vincere for this match.
